Drogo - Audio Drama

"Very impressive!"

date: May 21, 2009

I really like this piece, the voices and sound effects were all of good quality and seemed to all fit very well together.
One thing that could perhaps be worked on more would be the storyline, it was a little hard to follow. Other than that, great work guys, and I'm glad to have my music used in such a way : )

Author's Response:

I guess It's hard to follow because it's somewhat of a prologue.

But, Thanks for the 10!

Bright inferno

"Wow.."

submission: Bright inferno
date: November 11, 2008

I was just totally blown away by this track. All of the synths fit in really well with the guitar, and i do love the chiptones thing you have going on in the background there.
I really do wish i could sing, in which case i'd be totally all over this track for you.
Can you please PM or reply to this with the lyrics anyway, though?
Amazing work, 10/10 5/5

November 11, 2008

Author's Response:

Thank you :)

Yes sure, here are the lyrics. I´m not english so i´m not sure that they are 100% grammatically correct though.

verse 1
We had it coming for long
there was so many things that went wrong.
We embraced our creation but died,
like an ocean outrun by its tide

verse 2
This tragedy long ago,
covered the desert in snow.
Cities were buried in sand,
and suddenly oceans were land

Ref
A blazing storm in which our lives passed away,
The bright inferno turned to gray. (Radiates away)
And our nation turned their eyes t'wards the flash
while our domain reversed to ash

Cry Freedom

"Amazing"

submission: Cry Freedom
date: November 11, 2008

The amount of effort put into this song really does show. The strings and flute sounded great, but it was really the choir that sold this song to me. I perhaps would have like to have heard a bit more of a buildup, and possibly even some percussion, but that is just me.
5/5, 10/10 and favorited.

Author's Response:

Glad you liked the choir, because I had several reviews on previous songs that complained about the choir, so this means I nailed it, finally ! I'm glad you liked this song enough to review and fave ! Thank you !

Death took me under

"Very relaxing"

date: November 9, 2008

A very simple and relaxing song. It has great flow, but can be a little repetitive. Definately great background music though!

Author's Response:

REPETETIVE?! , BUT... BUT I WASTED ALOT OF TIME NOT TO MAKE IT REPETETIVE D'=

Such a perfect way to end a night.
This song is just amazing. Such a great buildup, and i love the percussion. It is simple, but never once gets boring. Thankyou for sharing this for all to hear.

Starry Midnight

"Very peaceful."

submission: Starry Midnight
date: September 1, 2008

A very peaceful and relaxing piece you have created. The only criticisms i can offer are if this is made using midi or VST synths, probably try and find yourself a more natural-sounding one. You can get some pretty decent ones for free if you know where to look.
Although i like the song as it is, you could probably add in a nice slow-moving drum track to this piece without it affecting the atmosphere of it too much. But that is just me
5 and 9. :-P

Author's Response:

Yeah I used FL Keys plugin on FL studio... I'll try to find some more realistic stuff and I'll probably put in drums later or something and submit it as a better version of this. Thanks for the feedback and advice!

I love all of the oldskool-ish synths you used in this. It all fits together so perfectly.

I've always loved this song, and you added nothing but fun and originality. I never before could have imagined this song being transformed into this style so well.
You, sir have made my night.

Catacombs

"wow!"

submission: Catacombs
date: May 13, 2008

surely those can't be all real instruments? do you play them all yourself or do you have an entire orchestra stored away in your basement lol.
seriously though, this is an amazing piece of music, but the one and only problem with it is that it should perhaps belong in the classical genre rather than ambient?

5/5 10/10

May 13, 2008

Author's Response:

Indeed I have considered the classical route. But I believe that classical is too, well, mono in its variability. This is definitly some kind of background or even a musical epic video.

Desert Ruins

"pretty good.."

submission: Desert Ruins
date: April 23, 2008

.. for what it is. but that cymbal gets pretty annoying and repetitive.. perhaps go a little easier on it? apart from that its got some fair decent potential. keep it up

April 23, 2008

Author's Response:

Thanks for review. I've toned it down a bit, and I think its definitely less piercing than it was before.
